This engagement session was a classic case of “we were prepared for a little rain, but we got the downpour.”
I had told Laura and Aaron that a little rain can actually add character and magic to a scene, and momentarily wondered as we hid under trees if I would regret those words.
Sure enough though, the storm eventually passed and sporadic rays of sunshine lit up the forest around us. With practically no one else on the trail that morning, it was especially peaceful and serene.
Thankful for these two embracing their soaked hair and wet clothes, and not resisting the direction that mother nature decided to take things. It’s that kind of openness to the unexpected that makes for the best kind of memories. And that is exactly what we’re here for.
