Sou'wester Historic Lodge & Vintage Travel Trailer Resort — Seaview, Washington
To be at Souwester Lodge is to travel back in time and feel the magic of being in a place that lets you be free. I come here a couple times a year just to replenish mentally, spiritually and physically, both in nature and on the property. Getting married at Souwester would provide you and your guests a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Take one of their bicycles out for a ride to a lighthouse, soak in an outdoor clawfoot tub and take a sauna, or have a bonfire on the beach. Grab a record player or small TV for your room or trailer and choose from their massive selection of classic VHS movies and vintage records. Grab coffee and donuts at the bakery to start your day and get fresh seafood from one of the local markets to have a delicious dinner. With close proximity to the majestic Cape Disappointment State Park and Astoria (a lively little coastal town just across the bridge in Oregon), there’s no shortage of things to do. Accommodations include vintage travel trailers, rooms in the historic Lodge, or cabins.

Captain Whidbey Inn — Coupeville, Washington
While exploring the 111 year old Captain Whidbey Inn, you can practically feel the history and the stories it holds, as it is often referenced in the furnishings and details all throughout the property. Each of the four cabins were designed individually and offer their own unique vibe. Accommodations also include stunning rooms in the Historic lodge and just across the road in the equally impressive “Lagoon Rooms.” While I was scouting out this location, the event planner even told me that they do elopements or private moments for their couples on an early 1900’s sailboat out on Penn Cove. After the festivities, you can explore the local shops, bars and restaurants on Washington’s largest island or take a hike in the nearby Deception Pass State Park. Whatever type of experience you’re looking for, be it a small-medium size wedding or a tiny elopement, this place is truly a magical destination to set sail into your marriage.
Loloma Lodge — McKenzie Bridge, Oregon
Tucked away amidst Oregon’s Willamette National Forest you’ll find old growth forests, natural hot springs, glorious waterfalls, endless trails to explore, and Loloma Lodge. Upon arriving at this venue, I felt immediately at home amongst the tall trees. The riverside cabins that were built in the 60’s were undoubtedly my favorite aspect of the property. They have a vintage vibe with modern amenities and decor, plus you can have your morning coffee while enjoying the sights and sound of the beautiful Mackenzie River. There’s also a large family cabin, and the gorgeous historic Lodge. Have your ceremony under the cover of the evergreens with the water gently flowing behind you, and celebrate with an adventure among the Cascade Mountain Range or by cozying up to a campfire with a bottle of wine or local beer.
