Lina & Max

Lina has followed me on Instagram for years, even before I started photographing couples. She’s one of those people that has consistently showed up in my likes, comments and DMs, supporting and encouraging me as I navigate being a human and an artist. I’ve thought more than once about how fortunate I am to be on the receiving end of that kind of kindness.

Before heading out on a 2500 mile photo road trip, I posted on Instagram to see if anyone was interested in meeting up and shooting in Joshua Tree. Who else but Lina and her boyfriend Max to drive all the way from Colorado to meet me in the California desert!

My experience with them was slow, relaxed and personal. We started with coffee at their airbnb and afterwards took our time exploring, soaking in the sights, and sharing stories along the way. It resulted in some of my favorite work yet, and such a beautiful memory. Grateful to technology for connecting me to people like these two, and for the magical beauty of the mojave desert.
